Rooftops in Malta: partying up high
In Malta, the party goes up high at three addresses: Infinity by Hugo's, on the rooftop of the H Hotel in Paceville (St Julian's); TwentyTwo, on the 22nd floor of the Portomaso Business Tower; and The Rooftop, the open-air space at Gianpula Village, on the outskirts of Rabat, where French Touch took place in summer 2026. Three venues, three seasons: here's when to go and how.
Infinity by Hugo's: a pool on the roof
On the roof of the H Hotel, right in the middle of Paceville, Infinity by Hugo's is built around an open-air infinity pool: 65 feet, around 20 metres, according to the hotel's website. Around it: a cocktail bar, jacuzzis, VIP sofas, a champagne bar, and a retractable roof that covers part of the terrace when needed.
The rooftop is open from May to October, weather permitting. In summer 2026, people danced there from 9pm to 4am up to six nights a week, with The White Party on Mondays and French Pool & Party, the French night, on Wednesdays. Just before the winter closure, Haunted Hotel, the Halloween party at Infinity by Hugo's, is on Saturday 31 October 2026, from 9pm to 4am.
TwentyTwo: a club on the 22nd floor
TwentyTwo sits at the top of the Portomaso Business Tower in St Julian's: a 97.54-metre tower opened in 2001, which remained the tallest building in Malta until 2020. According to its French Night page, the room is glass-walled and air-conditioned, with a 360° view: of the three venues, it's the only one sheltered from the weather.
In 2026, its parties on sale ran from May to September: TwentyTwo French Night on Sundays, from 3 May to 6 September, TwentyTwo White Party on Wednesdays, Ladies Night on Fridays. On Friday 30 October 2026, Tower of Terror moves in for Halloween, from 11pm to 4am: 17 and over, costume compulsory.
The Rooftop at Gianpula Village: open air, in the countryside
Founded in 1980 in the countryside on the outskirts of Rabat, Gianpula Village has ten spaces. The Rooftop holds up to 600 people in the open air, from May to September, and the venue describes it as “a favourite destination for pool parties”.
In summer 2026, French Touch, a French night, took place there every Saturday between 13 June and 22 August, from 11pm to 4am, with Pool & Party on Tuesdays. It's 8 km from Paceville as the crow flies: the French Touch page advertised transport with departures from 10:30pm to 11:30pm from the Dragonara arch in St Julian's. For the way back, plan on a ride-hailing app.
Which season for which venue
From May to October, Infinity by Hugo's; from May to September, The Rooftop at Gianpula Village. TwentyTwo, being indoors, follows the rhythm of its parties: May to September in 2026, then Tower of Terror for Halloween.
From November to April, both rooftops are closed. This autumn, the party carries on at Toy Room, indoors, in Paceville, on Saturdays until 28 November 2026.
Before you go up: dress, tables, getting there
When it comes to what to wear, each party has its own rules. At TwentyTwo, the summer 2026 French Night asked guests to dress elegantly; at Tower of Terror, a Halloween costume is compulsory. On the roof at Infinity, if you plan on taking a dip, bring swimwear and something to change into.

From Toy Room, Infinity by Hugo's is right next door, and TwentyTwo is about 400 metres away as the crow flies. From Valletta and Sliema, the N13 serves St Julian's at night, €3 a journey.
