Good to know
Friday or Saturday: how to choose
Halloween, on 31 October, doesn't always fall at the weekend, and the clubs don't necessarily celebrate it on the same night. Before you book your nights, check the day of each party in the list.
Two parties on two different nights: you can do both, with a ticket for each.
Two parties on the same night: you'll have to choose. Club nights usually start around 11pm, and switching clubs in the middle of the night means paying for a second entry.
Your costume
At Halloween, people come in costume, and some parties make it a condition of entry. When a dress code is required, it's shown on the party's page: check it before you pack.
Choose a costume that will last a whole night of dancing. If it covers your face, make sure you can take it off easily: when a party has a minimum age, you may be asked for ID at the door.
Age and ID
The minimum age is set party by party. When it's been published, it's shown on the party's page; if it isn't there, no official age has been announced.
Either way, bring original photo ID, an ID card or a passport: a photo on your phone may not be enough. Before you travel, check which document you need to enter Malta: depending on your nationality, a national ID card may be accepted as well as a passport.
Getting home after the party
When the party is in Paceville or Portomaso, the easiest option is to stay in St Julian's and walk back.
If you're staying in Sliema or Valletta, take the N13 night bus: it runs every night between Valletta and St Julian's via Sliema, with departures from Valletta from 11:10pm to 2:10am, at €3 a journey. For the way back, check the times from St Julian's on the Malta Public Transport website.
Otherwise, Bolt, Uber and eCabs operate in Malta. French government travel advice (France Diplomatie) recommends particular caution in Paceville: keep an eye on your drink and head home in a group.
