Malta nightlife: the essentials
Malta's nightlife is concentrated in Paceville, part of St Julian's: Toy Room, Infinity by Hugo's and Sky Club are less than 300m apart, and TwentyTwo, at the top of the Portomaso tower, is about 400m away. In summer, the party also heads out of town, to Gianpula Village near Rabat, Café del Mar in St Paul's Bay or Aria Complex in L-Iklin.
In the clubs, doors usually open at 11pm and the night ends around 4am; pool parties start earlier, from 9pm on the Infinity by Hugo's rooftop in summer 2026. The minimum age depends on each party and is shown on its page: bring an original photo ID.
To get back, the N13 night bus links Valletta and St Julian's every day, at €3.00 a journey, and Bolt, Uber and eCabs all operate on the island. French government travel advice calls for particular caution in Paceville: keep an eye on your drink and keep your belongings on you.

What time do parties in Malta start?
In the clubs, around 11pm, finishing around 4am: those are the times for every party on sale at Toy Room this autumn. In summer, pool parties start earlier: from 9pm on the Infinity by Hugo's rooftop in 2026, and in the middle of the day at Toy Room Beach Club.
How do I get back after a night out in Paceville?
The N13 night bus links St Julian's and Valletta every day, at €3.00 a journey; Bolt, Uber and eCabs also operate in Malta. Malta Public Transport publishes the exact times.
Are there parties in Malta all year round?
Yes, but not at the same pace. From May to September, the party is shared between clubs, rooftops, pools and boats. The rest of the year, it mostly happens in clubs: this autumn, at Toy Room on Saturdays, with Halloween and New Year's Eve as the highlights. Infinity by Hugo's closes from November to April.
Is Malta ahead of UK time?
Yes, by one hour. Malta is one hour ahead of London and Dublin all year round, including after the clocks change in March and October.
